Younggeol Cho is a postdoctoral researcher in the Humen-Robot Interfaces and Interaction (HRII) laboratory at the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia, Italy. He received his M.S. and Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from the Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST), Korea, in 2022. He received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from Yonsei University, Korea, in 2023.
His research was focused on bio-signal processing (EMG, EIM, EEG, etc.) and human intention estimation based on Artificial neural networks during his Ph.D. He had developed a prosthetic hand and a recognition model for patients to control intuitively. Currently, his research is in human gesture and intention recognition by multi-sensor fusion for human assistive devices.
